I bring my tumbler every day (except for the specific events where any liquids are prohibited). My family and friends know that. It has become my habit to always bring my tumbler. I do not leave my home without my tumbler. When I bought my first Klean Kanteen way back 4 or 5 years ago, I never switched to other brands. I already have a total of 4 Klean Kanteens, including the first Klean Kanteen I lost.
Klean Kanteen is expensive, but they ensure the Strong-As-Steel Guarantee on their canteens. Another cool thing about them is their Lifetime Warranty that will assure you that if the canteen is having a problem, they will test it and advise if it is valid for the warranty. See the link from their website for details:
Klean Kanteen Warranty – Return and Replacement Policy
This is from Certified Calm website: Warranty Policy – Certified Calm
This was my first time claiming a warranty. So here is the story of my canteens:
Two of my three canteens are having an issue with it. I noticed that both of them no longer retain their temperature, especially in iced drinks. The outside canteen is having moisture that supposedly it’s not. They are the 20oz TKWide in ‘shale black’ and their old model 16oz Insulated Wide in ‘brushed’ steel. These canteens have been with me for almost 3 years. My 20oz TKWide has a big dent at the bottom as shown below.
I asked Klean Kanteen Philippines via their Facebook page how the Lifetime Warranty works. They responded including the process of claiming the warranty and where to surrender the defective canteen. We can bring the canteen to Certified Calm in The Podium and Rockwell Power Plant Mall branch for testing.
Last June 29, I brought the 2 canteens to their branch in Power Plant Mall. Sadly, the store staff didn’t accept my 20oz TKWide due to the large dent at the bottom. And so the Lifetime Warranty of the canteen was voided. So if you dropped it and caused as big as this, I feel you. 🥺
As for the 16oz Insulated Wide, since it is in good condition, they accepted the canteen for testing. I had no receipt or box, but it is better if you keep either of them just in case. They issued me a claim stub and will contact me when they receive the result of the testing of my canteen. According to them, the process will take 2-3 weeks.
Then Certified Calm texted me last July 09 – one and a half weeks later! My canteen is valid for a replacement!!!
Then on July 12, I went back to the branch where I left my defective canteen. I gave the claim stub to the store staff. My 16oz Insulated Wide has been replaced with a 16oz TKWide! I paid P100 for the upgrade fee because my old canteen was an old model. Since ‘brushed’ steel is not available, I chose the Juicy Pear color. I am so happy that I got my money’s worth!
… And that’s how I claimed my canteen’s Lifetime Warranty! So again, if you have a Klean Kanteen there, take care of it!
